Hulya Seferoglu 

Hulya Seferoglu

Hulya Seferoglu is an Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of University of Illinois at Chicago. Before joining University of Illinois at Chicago, she was a Postdoctoral Associate in the CNRG group at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She received her Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of California, Irvine, M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Sabanci University, and B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Istanbul University. During her Ph.D. at University of California, Irvine, she was a member of Networking Group. She worked as a summer intern in AT&T Labs Research, Docomo USA Labs, and Microsoft Research, Cambridge. Yuxuan Xing 

Yuxuan Xing

Yuxuan Xing is a Ph.D. student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of University of Illinois at Chicago. His research areas are in the broader area of computer networks. He is currently working on design and analysis of cooperative mobile devices. He received his B.S. degree in Communication Engineering from North China Electric Power University. Shanyu Zhou

Shanyu Zhou is a Ph.D. student supervised by Professor Seferoglu in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Illinois at Chicago. He works as a research assistant in the networking research lab. Before joining University of Illinois at Chicago, he received his B.S. degree in Communication Engineering from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), where he experienced four cherished years in Yingcai Experimental School. Yasaman Keshtkarjahromi 

Yasaman Keshtkarjahromi

Yasaman Keshtkarjahromi received her Ph.D. degree from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the University of Illinois at Chicago in May 2017. She worked as a postdoctoral associate in the same department until August 2018. She received her M.S. and B.S. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Tehran and Shiraz University, Iran, respectively. Her personal page is here. She currently works as an ORAU Postdoctoral Fellow.

Zohreh Ovaisi 

Zohreh Ovaisi (co-advised with N. Devroye, B. Smida, and D. Tuninetti)

Zohreh Ovaisi received M.S. degree from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of University of Illinois at Chicago. Her research focused on the development of scheduling algorithms for flows with hard deadline constraints. She was jointly advised by Profs. Devroye, Seferoglu, Smida, and Tuninetti. She received her B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University, Iran.

Ajita Singh received her M.S. degree from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of University of Illinois at Chicago. Her thesis was on “Energy-Aware Computation in Mobile Devices”. She received her B.E. degree from the Electronics and Communication Department at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, India.

Adeleke Oluwamayowa 

Adeleke Oluwamayowa’15 (his first job after UIC was with Amazon Web Services in Herndon, VA)

Adeleke Oluwamayowa received his M.S. degree from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of UIC in May 2015. His M.S. thesis was on “Software-Defined Network Overlays”. Adeleke received his B.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology. Before joining UIC, he worked in Alcatel-Lucent, Nigeria, and during his B.S., he also worked as an intern in Alcatel-lucent, Nigeria.
